About Me

Hi, I’m Ryan.

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a therapist, a mom, a former teacher, a book writer, and a lifelong student of people and why we do what we do.

I believe in the power of understanding our stories and the relationships that shape us to create meaningful change.

My goal is to help you feel more like yourself and build a life that actually feels like yours.

HOW I SHOW UP

Therapy should feel like a real relationship.

I’m warm, down-to-earth, and real.

I bring curiosity, humor, and honesty into the therapy room. I’m not here to sit across from you with a blank notepad.

I’m here to be with you while we figure things out together.

Connection first

Real relationships create the safety needed for change.

Curious, not critical

We get curious about why, not stuck in shame or blame.

Growth is possible

Small shifts, practiced over time, create lasting change.

Whole person care

Mind, body, emotions, relationships—it all matters.

You’re the expert

You know your life. I’m here to help you see it more clearly.

Humor helps

We can sit with hard things and still laugh along the way.

A little more about me

Before becoming a therapist, I taught kindergarten. That experience taught me so much about connection, regulation, development, and the impact of feeling seen—which still shapes my work today.

I live in Utah with my two kids. We spend our free time exploring our home state, reading, and baking cookies.

I’m also the author of the Brain & Heart children’s book series, created to help kids and the grown-ups who love them understand what might be happening beneath big feelings and behavior.

I believe understanding changes everything.
BRAIN + HEART

Understanding shouldn’t only happen in the therapy room.

The Brain & Heart children’s book series helps kids and the grown-ups who love them get curious about what may be happening beneath big feelings and behavior.

I’d love to learn more about you and see if we’re a good fit.
