Hi! I’m Ryan. I’m so glad you’re here.
Come on in.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR, Play Therapy, attachment, and nervous-system-based approaches that support people untangling overwhelm, anxiety, trauma, people-pleasing, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” My work blends deep compassion with real, effective tools — creative expression, storytelling, movement, and the kind of honest conversations that help your whole body finally exhale. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in the state of Utah. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Utah in 2016. I taught preschool in Shanghai China for a few years and moved back to Utah to pursue my Master’s degree while teaching kindergarten. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adam State University in 2022.
I built The Living Room because therapy shouldn’t feel sterile or intimidating — it should feel like stepping into a space that wraps you in color, texture, warmth, and that “Oh wow, I can actually relax here” kind of energy. Healing deserves softness. Nervous systems deserve comfort. And you deserve a place where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or sanitize your emotions.
Expect presence, connection, and honest reflection. I’m fully human in the room — warm, grounded, curious, and collaborative. I’ll be there to celebrate your wins, hold steady through your hard moments, and help you understand what your brain and body are trying to communicate. I show up authentically because I believe therapy should feel like a relationship, not an interview.
Sessions with me might include EMDR resourcing, art, psychoeducation, guided visualization, somatic grounding, or simply saying out loud the thing you’ve been carrying alone for far too long. However we get there, the goal is always the same: a space where you can breathe, feel, grow, and come home to yourself.
