What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed approach that helps the brain heal from overwhelming experiences, trauma, stress, and stuck emotional patterns. Instead of relying only on talking, EMDR uses gentle bilateral stimulation—eye movements, tapping, or sounds—to help your nervous system safely reprocess difficult memories.
If you feel triggered, stuck, or weighed down by old experiences, EMDR can offer a clearer path forward. My approach is grounding and relational, moving at your pace and supported by tools that help you stay steady throughout the process.
EMDR is especially helpful for trauma (big or small), anxiety, attachment wounds, and those “I know better, but I still feel this way” patterns. It helps create calmer emotional responses and a deeper sense of internal safety.
Fee Agreement & Practice Policies
Session Length & Structure
Therapy sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. 50 minutes will be spent together in session, and the remaining 10 minutes will be used by the clinician for documentation and treatment planning.
Session Fee & Payment
The fee for each session is $150. Payment is due at the time of each session and will be processed through the credit card you place on file during the intake process.
HSA and FSA cards are also accepted as a form of payment.
If a third party will be responsible for payment, an additional agreement will be completed stating that they assume financial responsibility for therapeutic services.
Cancellations & Missed Sessions
If you’re unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be billed for the full session fee.
Insurance & Superbills
I am not currently paneled with insurance companies. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.
Court Involvement
To preserve the integrity of the therapeutic relationship, I do not serve as a witness or provide testimony in court proceedings.
In summary:
The Living Room Therapy + Wellness is built on respect, clarity, and compassion. These policies support a consistent and transparent process, so you can focus fully on your growth and healing.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
