Important information about scheduling, communication, payment, telehealth, and working together at The Living Room Therapy + Wellness.

Effective March 19, 2026

Appointments & Session Length

Sessions are scheduled in 60-minute appointment blocks. Approximately 50 minutes are typically devoted to direct therapy, with the remaining time reserved for clinical documentation and administrative tasks related to your care.

Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. If you arrive late, your direct therapy time may be shortened because appointments cannot be extended beyond the scheduled time.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

Fees & Payment

The fee for an individual therapy session is $150.

Payment is due at the time of service unless another arrangement has been made.

The Living Room Therapy + Wellness is a private-pay practice.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

The Living Room Therapy + Wellness does not bill insurance directly.

If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, a superbill may be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

Communication Between Sessions

For communication between sessions, please use the client portal or email. Messages are generally answered within 1–2 business days.

Between-session communication is intended for scheduling and administrative matters and is not a substitute for therapy.

Electronic communication may carry privacy risks and should not be used for sensitive or urgent clinical concerns.

Telehealth

Telehealth sessions may be available when clinically appropriate.

Telehealth has some limitations compared with in-person services, including possible technology disruptions and privacy considerations. Clients participating in telehealth are encouraged to use a private environment and reliable internet connection.

Consent for telehealth may be withdrawn at any time.

Minors & Parent Communication

When working with minors, parents or legal guardians may have legal rights to certain information.

At the same time, therapy is often most effective when young clients have an appropriate degree of privacy. Session content is therefore generally kept confidential.

Parent/guardian communication typically focuses on safety concerns, treatment recommendations, scheduling, billing, and care coordination rather than detailed session summaries.

Information may be shared when required by law or when clinically necessary.

Social Media & Public Encounters

To protect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries, I do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients through personal social media accounts.

If we encounter one another outside of therapy, I will not initiate contact in order to protect your privacy. You are welcome to acknowledge me, and I will respond respectfully.

Ending Therapy

Therapy is voluntary, and either you or your therapist may decide to end treatment.

Services may also be discontinued when treatment is no longer clinically appropriate or when ongoing attendance or payment concerns interfere with treatment. When appropriate, notice and referral options will be provided.

If no appointments are scheduled for three consecutive weeks, unless otherwise arranged, your case may be considered inactive and closed.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality are important parts of the therapeutic relationship.
