My Approach

Therapy isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself.

It’s about understanding the version of you that’s already here.

The reactions you wish you didn’t have. The patterns you keep repeating. The things you know logically but can’t seem to change.

They didn’t appear out of nowhere.

My approach to therapy is about getting curious about what shaped them, learning to see what’s happening with more clarity, and creating enough choice to build something different.

Understand. See. Build.
01

Understand

Before we try to change the pattern, we understand why it’s there.

Your reactions make more sense when we understand what built them.

Together, we look at the experiences, relationships, nervous-system responses, beliefs, and patterns that have shaped the way you move through the world.

You can’t choose differently if you don’t understand what’s choosing for you.

02

See

Understanding something isn’t the same as noticing it while it’s happening.

Therapy helps us slow those moments down. We practice noticing your body, emotions, thoughts, protective responses, and patterns with more curiosity and less judgment.

Over time, you begin to see what was already happening.

And when you can see it—you have more choice.

03

Build

Change happens through experience, not just understanding.

We start building new responses, boundaries, and ways of relating that align with who you want to be.

These moments may seem small. They’re not. They’re new experiences.

And new experiences become the bricks we build with.

Clinical grounding

Thoughtful therapy. Grounded in evidence.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and nervous-system aware. Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate EMDR, experiential and creative interventions, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

No single modality is the point. The goal is helping you understand what’s happening inside you well enough to have more choice in what happens next.

EMDR

Process past experiences and reduce the impact of what still feels heavy.

Walk + Talk Therapy

Move your body, clear your mind, and talk things through outdoors.

Creative + Experiential Therapy

Use creative tools to explore, express, and heal.

What therapy with me feels like

You don’t need to be fixed. You need enough safety to get curious.

I don’t believe therapy works particularly well when you’re performing for your therapist.

You can expect presence, connection, curiosity, and honest reflection here—not a blank slate sitting across from you.

We can laugh. We can swear. We can sit with something uncomfortable. We can notice that you’re trying very hard to give me the “right” answer.

And sometimes that moment tells us more than the answer ever could.

Why “The Living Room”?

Because the living room is where life happens.

It’s where we gather. Where we argue. Where we repair. Where we rest. Where we’re supposed to be able to take our shoes off and be ourselves.

I wanted therapy to feel a little more like that.

Less clinical performance. More room to be human.

Welcome in.

Ready to see things differently?

You don’t need to know exactly where to start. That’s something we can figure out together.
