Therapy for Teens
Understand what's happening inside you.
You don't need to have the right words before you get here.
Therapy for teens who want somewhere to think, talk, figure things out—or just not have to explain everything perfectly.
Being a Teen Is a Lot
You're figuring out who you are while everyone has an opinion about it.
School. Friends. Family. Relationships. Pressure. Your future. Your body. Your brain. Other people's expectations.
And somehow you're supposed to manage all of it while acting like everything is fine.
Therapy doesn't have to be another place where an adult tells you what you should be doing.
It can be somewhere we figure out what's actually happening.
Things we can talk about.
This Is Your Space
You don't have to perform therapy correctly.
You don't need to walk in, sit perfectly still, make eye contact, and immediately tell me your deepest feelings.
We can talk.
We can notice patterns.
We can use creative or experiential approaches when they actually help.
And yes, sometimes we can laugh.
My job isn't to tell you who to be.
It's to help you understand yourself well enough to have more choice about who you want to be.
For Parents & Guardians
Your teen needs privacy.
You still need to know they're okay.
Both can be true.
Parents and guardians remain involved in scheduling, billing, care coordination, recommendations, and safety-related concerns.
At the same time, therapy works best when teens have a space where they can speak honestly without expecting a detailed report of everything they said.
I work to protect that therapeutic trust while keeping parents appropriately involved in their child's care.

Things you might want to know.
What happens during the first session?
We'll get to know you, what has been happening, and what feels important right now. You don't need your story perfectly organized.
Will you tell my parents what I say?
I generally do not provide a detailed report of everything a teen says. Parents remain appropriately involved in care and safety-related concerns.
Do you offer telehealth?
Telehealth may be available when clinically appropriate for clients physically located in Utah.
What if I don't know what I want to talk about?
That's okay. Part of therapy can be learning to notice what is happening.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you start.
